Dipl.-Ing. Claus Trost was awarded a Young Researcher Award –Symposium K at the European Materials Research Society - Spring Meeting

Dipl.-Ing. Claus Trost, PhD Student at the Erich-Schmid Institute for Materials Science, was awarded a Young Researcher Award –Symposium K at the European Materials Research Society - Spring Meeting (Virtual Meeting 31 May – 4 June 2021) for his work entitled " A new approach to evaluate the elastic modulus of metallic foils", published in Materials and Design.

In his work, Dipl.-Ing. Trost investigated common misconceptions of measuring the elastic modulus of metallic foils and introduced a cyclic straining procedure combined with advanced data evaluation and a holistic approach for the characterisation of the microstructure of metallic foils. Congratulations to this achievement!
