Maria Winkler-Dworak has been a researcher at the Vienna Institute of Demography since 1999. She received her doctorate in mathematics at the Vienna University of Technology in 2002.
Her current research topics include family formation, fertility and union dynamics as well as educational differences in mortality and, more specifically, the longevity of academicians.
