History writing in the Frankish kingdoms. The case of the Annales Laureshamenses-Mosellani

Despite being one of the most important sets of annals of the eighth and early ninth century, the Annales Laureshamenses-Mosellani have rarely been studied in full in their own right. This talk will trace the development of this particular set of annals through time and space and discusses the manuscript evidence and manuscript context, places and stages of writing as well as the question of authorship, the reception and the dissemination of the work throughout the Frankish world.
