The Phonogrammarchiv delegates the Presidency of the Audio Engineering Society

With over 12,000 members, Audio Engineering Society, Inc. (AES) is the world's largest professional association dedicated to audio engineering. Founded in 1948 in the United States, AES has developed into an international organization, bringing together audio engineers, creative artists, academics and students around the world, thos supporting technical progress in audio technology. AES organizes international conferences, publishes a scientific journal (JAES, since 1953) and develops standards and recommendations for all areas of sound engineering.

With the election of the Phonogrammarchiv-employee Nadja Wallaszkovits as President, an Austrian is at the top of this influential organization.
