Publications with the publisher Holzhausen
Since 2016, the journal »Jahreshefte des Österreichischen Archäologischen Institutes in Wien (ÖJh)« and the series »Ergänzungshefte zu den Jahresheften des Österreichischen Archäologischen Instituts (ErghÖJh)« as well as the »Sonderschriften des Österreichischen Archäologischen Instituts (SoSchrÖAI)« are being published by the publisher Holzhausen and can only be purchased from them (including the already published volumes).
As in the past, all contributions and monographs undergo the peer-review process (with the exception of excavation and survey reports in the ÖJh). The Scientific Board of the OeAI is available as advisory body in the selection of reviewers to the publisher Holzhausen which is certified by the Austrian Science Fund.
Publications with the publisher of the OeAW
The collaboration with the publisher of the OeAW was expanded and in addition to the established »Forschungen in Ephesos (FiE)«, the »Forschungen in Aigeira (FiAig)« the series »Forschungen in Lykien« (FiLyk; formerly »Forschungen in Limyra«) and »Zentraleuropäische Archäologie (ZEA)« are now also being published for the OeAI. As a publisher certified by the Austrian Science Fund, the OeAW organizes and controls the international peer-review process of the OeAI publications that appear here. For the journal »Ägypten und Levante (AegLev)« and the series »Untersuchungen der Zweigstelle Kairo des ÖAI (ÖAIKairo)« the OeAI is co-publisher.
The rules for Good Scientific Practice as set out and published by the Austrian Agency for Research Integrity apply to all publications of the OeAI. Furthermore, the OeAI is committed to the international practices and the recommendations of the Archaeological Council of the OeAW and does not serve as primary publication of ancient objects of unknown origin.
