Since Monday, we have been shaken by images from Türkiye and Syria. The devastating earthquake has cut a swath of destruction and deprived thousands of people of their livelihood. Unfortunately, among them are also numerous employees of the excavation Ephesos, who live with their families in the region. We want to help them! In these hours they are all with their families trying to survive, but soon the reconstruction will begin and life will have to be planned anew. We would like to contribute to this.
For this reason, we have set up a donation account and would be very happy about your support.
With your donation we want to support our colleagues individually with necessary used things: Clothing, work aids (laptops, work clothes etc.), housing equipment, costs for medical services.
The OeAI will also give those affected the opportunity to work in Ephesos after the excavation permit has been issued. In addition, the OeAW plans to offer the possibility of research and internship stays in Vienna.
