The research group »Quaternary Archaeology« of the Austrian Archaeological Institute (OeAI) of the Austrian Academy of Sciences (OeAW) cordially invites archaeology enthusiasts and friends of the Palaeolithic age to the Open Excavation Day at the Upper Palaeolithic site Kammern-Grubgraben.
On Thursday, 21.09.2023, we will present the latest excavation results, uncovered stone features and find material to all visitors between 9am and 3pm and will be available for all questions!
The excavation site is located in the vineyards of KG Kammern, MG Hadersdorf-Kammern, Lower Austria.

In the area of the site itself, parking is very limited. It is best to park further down and come up to the site on foot.
