From 15 March, the Jewish Museum Judenplatz in Vienna will host the new permanent exhibition "Our Medieval City! The First Jewish Community in Vienna". OeAI archaeozoologist Alfred Galik has analysed fish bones for this exhibition, which provide information about the diet and use of local fish stocks in the Middle Ages.

The exhibition presents new findings about Jewish life in medieval Vienna, which can be seen using unexpected objects, new technologies and without barriers. The history of Judenplatz over the centuries up to the creation of Rachel Whiteread's Holocaust Memorial will also be addressed in detail.
