The KMI coordinates the participation of the Austrian Academy of Sciences in the European Research Network IMISCOE (Immigration, Integration and Social Cohesion in Europe). The network was founded in April 2004 with the aim of connecting and promoting European migration research past and present, and encoruraging cooperation in the development of research approches for the future. The IMISCOE network currently has 45 participating institutions. Altogether there are almost 500 migration experts and PhD students within the network.

Publications

The research results of the network are published regularly in the IMISCOE series, published by the University of Amsterdam Press. More information about publications from the KMI in this series can be found on our publications page.
