IWF Graz. Leading Austria into Space. Since 1971.

At the end of June, around 150 people gathered at the IWF to celebrate half a century of space research in Graz. Among the guests were numerous representatives from science, politics and industry.

The event was opened with a film by director, producer and ORF editor Günter Schilhan. In 7.5 minutes, this film tells the more than 50-year history of the Graz Space Research Institute. It takes us into the infinite vastness of space, casts a glance into the Institute's laboratories, shows the people who work here and summarises how the IWF's achievements have contributed to Austria's development over the past five decades into an internationally recognised and important space centre.

It is a great honour and pleasure for us to now present this film in German and English on YouTube.

Fascinating.
