About

Felix Schaber is a trained physicist and has always been interested in the relationship between research and practical application. His research focuses on the interface between technology, business and law. At ITA, he deals with issues related to IT security and privacy.

Education

Felix Schaber graduated in technical physics at the Vienna University of Technology. His master thesis in the field of biophysics was written during a semester abroad at the EPFL Lausanne. He is currently pursuing a master's degree in Legal and Business Aspects in Technics at the JKU Linz. 

Experience

Following an internship with the GoNano project, he co-authored two studies on technical surveillance and privacy (use of traffic data by mobile operators, impact of data collection by digital assistants).  Since 2019, Felix Schaber works as Junior Scientist for the ITA. He is currently working on questions concerning the legal and ethical implications of ICT within the PanelFit project.
