The public and technology policy - the information society - a concept of the citizens in the making

Citizen participation in the design of technology policy is becoming increasingly popular, as is well documented by the success of consensus conferences.

In 1995 the participated in the experiment to adapt such a procedure to the Austrian circumstances. This project should have been carried out in close connection with the Institute for Design and Assessement of Technology, Department of CSCW, of the Technical University Vienna. Thus far, however, this has not been possible.
