Marie Lehner studied Economics and Social Sciences at the Vienna University of Economics and Business and Social and Cultural Anthropology at the University of Vienna, where she is currently finishing her master’s degree. Her main research includes urban- and economic anthropology as well as anthropology of migration and gender. In 2015 and 2016 the University of Vienna fellowship allowed her to do fieldwork in Alaska, studying the “Migration of Alaska Native Women to Urban Areas”. Marie Lehner is currently working as a research associate at the Institute of Urban and Regional Research on the project “Paths of Integration of refugees granted asylum or subsidiary protection from Afghanistan in Austria (IASAÖ)”.
