Born in Göttingen, Germany, in 1983, Katharine Apostle completed her degree in Japanese Studies at the University of Vienna, where she also studied English and Comparative Literature. From March 2013 until September 2017 she worked in the administration office of the Institute for the Cultural and Intellectual History of Asia (IKGA). Since June 2016 she has been working as coordinator of the FWF Special Research Program Visions of Community (VISCOM) at the Institute for Medieval Research (IMAFO). In October 2017 she started working at the Institute for Urban and Regional Research (ISR) in the administration of the Commission for Migration and Integration Research (KMI). As an English native speaker she is also in charge of proofreading and translations.
