Photo Competition "My Research in a Picture" (Universität Wien)

Lisa Lenz-Ayoub "border line contexts"

Lisa Lenz-Ayoub has participated in the visual competition "My research in one picture" by the University of Vienna. After a public voting on Facebook, Lisa's submitted photo was awarded with the third place by the official selection committee.
Entitled "Grenzwertig" (engl. beyond boundaries), the picture potrays Lisa's current PhD project on the Yemeni-Saudi border dispute from a local (tribal) perspective. The title reflects the research focus and the related often problematic aspects of borders as well as the current struggle coping with the many challenges of the pandemic, where boundaries between work and family life, between home office and child care often become blurred.
