The event was organized by Ourania Roditi of the Association of Women Empowerment and Peace Promotion. It took place at the Sigmund Freud University (SFU, Vienna) and was funded by the City of Vienna.
The roundtable aimed at bringing together academics, civil society representatives and activists, in order to present the situation of women in Yemen and discuss how the conflict has affected them. Participants also debated women’s participation in the political life and their contribution towards securing an end to hostilities and a lasting peace.
