From 02/2021 - 12/2022 Hadel Jarada joined the START Nomansland project team



Hadel Jarada holds a BA in Near Eastern Studies from the University of California at Berkeley (Highest Honors), and an MA/PhD in Arabic and Islamic Studies from the Department of Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations at Harvard University. Her interests lie at the intersection between Islamic intellectual history and the sociocultural and political history of the Middle East and Central Asia. She is currently a postdoctoral researcher with the Nomads’ Manuscripts Landscape project at the Austrian Academy of Sciences. Prior to her work at the Austrian Academy, she was a predoctoral fellow with the ERC project Epistemic Transitions in Islamic Philosophy, Theology, and Science.
