Timo Aava was a junior researcher in the research unit History of the Habsburg Monarchy and works on the ERC project ‘Non-territorial Autonomy as a Form of Minority Protection in Europe’.

BRIEF BIOGRAPHY


Timo Aava studied history at the University of Tartu in Estonia and obtained Master’s degree in 2015. Additional studies in Berlin, Kiel and London. Since Autumn 2018 he is a PhD student at the University of Vienna and will write a thesis on the adaptation of the idea of non-territorial autonomy in Estonia.
He joined the ERC project ‘NTAutonomy' in May 2018.
