Biography


Born in 1970, B.A. and M.A. in History and Classical Archaeology at the University of Vienna. PhD at the department of contemporary history, University of Vienna, 2003. Collaborator of the Historical Commission of the Republic of Austria, 1999-2001. Oral history project "Mutterland-Vatersprache" with Shoah survivors from Austria in Israel, 2002-2005. Post-doc fellow at the Rosenfeld Center (Hebrew University), 2003-2004. Collaborator of the Wien Museum (Vienna) for provenance research, 2004. Since 2005 collaborator of the Austrian commission for provenance research. Since 2007 collaborator at the Institute of Culture Studies and Theatre History (Austrian Academy of Sciences).

Areas of Specialization


Jewish history of the 19th and 20th century, Jewish women's history and Jewish press, provenance research.

Responsibilities at IKT


Continuity and Transformation. The Austrian Academy of Sciences 1945–1955.
Topography of the Shoah. Memorial sites of Destroyed Jewish Vienna.
