Historical Critical Edition and Commentary (KFA). 6 Volumes

As one of the most significant scholars of the Austrian “Vormärz” epoch, Ernst Baron von Feuchtersleben (1806–1849) founded the first chair of academic psychiatry in Vienna and initiated the liberal school reform in the 1848 revolution. In contemporary cultural life he was engaged as a philosopher, an art critic and a poet. The Feuchtersleben-Edition represents the first effort to publish the complete literary, pedagogic and medical writings as well as his letters and diary notes. An extensive commentary offers detailed documentations and explains the texts in its specific contemporary historical horizon.
