The Redesign of the Mauthausen Memorial Site

Since 2008 a team of historians and staff of the Memorial have worked on a concept for the comprehensive redesign of the Mauthausen concentration camp memorial. In 2009, as result of this work, the “framework for redesign of the Mauthausen concentration camp memorial” was presented by the Austrian Ministry of the Interior, which is responsible for the site. In 2010 the implementation phase has started. Heidemarie Uhl participates as part of this team on the reorganization of the Mauthausen Memorial.
