Representing and Exhibiting History at Memorial Sites

How the history of Nazi crimes and of the Holocaust is represented and displayed is one of the currently intensively debated issues. In the last decade a number of memorials have been redesigned, including the Mauthausen Memorial. The research project aims to support this process. The research objectives relate to projects of both application and innovative scientific research concerning the question of translation and representation of history and memory in the concentration camp memorials.
