Elsie Library

The IHB’s specialist Balkan studies library houses the private scholarly library of Albanologist Robert Elsie, who died in 2017. The library mainly covers Albania and Kosovo/Kosova, but includes other regions of Southeastern Europe. The titles can be retrieved via the online catalogue of the OeAW and read on site following registration.
In addition to the library, the Balkan research section has also taken over the administration of Robert Elsie’s website.
