Marie Skłodowska-Curie Individual Fellowship

ANGRAM is a project within the Individual Fellowship awarded to Dr. Angela Gligorova by the European Commission, after a successful application for the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions of the H2020 framework. The project started in July 2017, with a total duration of 2 years, and consists of three work packages (WP).

The first WP refers to development of simulations of the non-neutral plasma dynamics in Penning traps and the antihydrogen formation, together with a simulation tool for exploring the geometrical constraints for the gravity measurement.

The second work package is dedicated to the development and the realization of a detection system for the gravity measurement. It consists mostly of R&D towards a more precise and efficient detection of antiprotons/antihydrogen. A systematic study of the antiproton annihilation at rest in different materials is included in this WP. Such study will provide essential information for tuning the Monte-Carlo simulations (e.g. GEANT4) in the low-energy region and to model the background contribution in our and other antihydrogen and low energy antiproton experiments.

The third work package includes activities that make use of the deliverables produced in WP1 and WP2 and insures a working experimental set-up for the final measurement.
