Peter Zinterhof

is Professor Emeritus for Mathematics and for Computer Science at the University of Salzburg. He founded the Salzburg Department for Systems Analysis and headed the departments for mathematics and computer science for many years and served as dean of the Science Faculty as well. He was also the founding director of the Computing Center of the university und member of the Steering Board of the Austrian center for Parallel Computing. The fields of research are among Reliabilty Theory, Numerics, Number Theory, Uniform Distribution and Quasi Monte-Carlo Methods, Parallel Computation and Algorithms.
