Stefanie Schöberl



... is a project member for the Dictionary of Bavarian Dialects in Austria (‘Wörterbuch der bairischen Mundarten in Österreich’, WBÖ) at the linguistics department (formerly Variation and Change of German in Austria).

She received her MA degree in German Studies from the University of California, Davis, in June 2019. During this program, she focussed mainly on relations between Middle High German and Old French literature from the 11th to the 13th century. She wrote her MA thesis on Humanoid Monsters in the Arthurian Romances of the High Middle Ages.

Since Oct. 2019, she is enrolled in the MA program of Digital Humanities at the Karl Franzens Universität Graz. Her main research interests are variational and diachronic linguistics.
