Call for papers (pdf)

The conference deals with research fields promoted by the ICAZ FRWG with the aim of creating a basis for an interdisciplinary discussion. Following the tradition of the FRWG, the program of the meeting is open to and the organizers welcome contributions from any field of ichthyo-archaeological research. One proposed topic will invite papers on environmental history and historical fish fauna from various aquatic environments.

Submission of Abstracts

Abstracts can only be submitted online. Please follow this link for online submission: (https://express.converia.de/frontend/index.php?sub=604). You are kindly asked to create a new account first, in the following you will be guided through the five-step submission process.

The English abstract is limited to 450 words including title and three keywords. Its content should introduce the main topic of the presentation, objectives, results and conclusions of the research.

Deadline for the abstract submission: April 30, 2022

The deadline for abstract submission is extended until May 15, 2022

 

Review of abstracts

The abstracts will be reviewed for acceptance according to content, quality and originality, state of completion of the work, innovation, wider interest and thematic foci.

Author notification: June 15, 2022

 

Oral Presentations

The time for oral presentations will be strictly limited to 15 minutes followed by 5 minutes of discussion. The participants are kindly requested to use *.ppt, *.pptx or *.pdf as presenting formats.

 

Posters

One general poster session will be scheduled during the conference and the poster size is A1 (width 594 mm x height 841 mm).

 

Book of abstracts

A book of abstracts will be distributed to all participants of the conference. Please note that by submitting a paper you agree to transfer publication rights to the congress organizer of the 21st FRWG-International Conference to reproduce and distribute your paper, in accordance with the applicable copyrights, worldwide, in all languages and all formats (printed or electronic), without time limit and without license fees, in particular in the abstract book.

 

Conference Proceedings

The Organizing Committee will take care of the publication of the conference proceedings and the Austrian Archaeological Institute and the Austrian Academy of Sciences may offer publishing and printing. The terms regarding the release of the conference proceedings will be separately arranged between the author(s) and the publishing company.
