Since 2007: Co-Editor of the Austrian “Journalisten-Report”

2001–2007: Head of Development and the Advisory Board of the “Studiengang Journalismus und Medienmanagement” (University of Applied Studies, FHW – Vienna).

1990–2015: Lecturer at Universities and Journalism Academies in Europe and the USA, e.g. University of Vienna, University of Klagenfurt, Poynter Institute, Fachhochschule Wien, Publizistik Akademie Hamburg, University of Elche/Spain.

1996–1999: Director of the certificate programme “Redaktionslehrgang Magazinjournalismus” (Institute for Communications Sciences of the University Vienna in cooperation with the trend/profil-magazine-group)

1990–2000: Political editor at the weekly magazine "profil", editor in chief and head of the development division of the trend/profil/Orac-magazine group and its digital media

1985–1988: Director of the “Medienzentrum der Stadt Wien” – and its media literacy training programmes for educationalists and teachers.

1981–1989: freelance-journalist, from 1983 head of department of the weekly supplement of the daily newspaper AZ, from 1985 political editor of AZ.
