CMC is pleased to announce a new partnership with the Department of Innovation and Digitalisation in Law that is led by Univ.-Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Forgó. Founded in 2017 at the Faculty of Law of the University of Vienna, the Department of Innovation and Digitalisation in Law considers itself as the faculty’s link to the 21st century.
The research organisation deals with a wide range of legal questions concerning the modern media and information society that result from the rapid, continuing rise in technological innovations. The research focuses on legal issues relating to information technology and intellectual property from a European perspective, in particular on privacy, copyright, e-commerce and consumer protection law as well as legal tech and innovation in the legal professions. The Department of Innovation and Digitalisation in Law is convinced that an adequate answer to these legal and social questions requires an interdisciplinary approach.
Thus, the cooperation will particularly allow for multidisciplinary projects concerning the interdependencies between the challenges our modern media and information society faces and a constantly changing legal environment.
