… studied Comparative Literature at the University of Vienna and completed her diploma degree with a thesis on Robert Musil’s influence on Julio Cortázar. After teaching at the Western University of Timisoara, Romania, and researching at Leuphana University Lüneburg, Germany, she joined the editorial team of the historical-critical edition of Arthur Schnitzler’s early works within the FWF project "Arthur Schnitzler – Kritische Edition (Frühwerk) I–IV" headed by Konstanze Fliedl in 2015. Her tasks at this project include transcribing Schnitzler’s hard-to-decifer handwriting, text encoding and working on reliable printed texts.

Anna Lindner especially enjoys researching for the edition’s cultural-historical commentary. So far, she has been sole editor of two volumes of the historical-critical edition, the short story "Ein Abschied" (2016, first published in 1896) and the one-acter "Der grüne Kakadu" (2020/1899). With Isabella Schwentner, Anna is currently working on the edition of Schnitzler’s play "Der einsame Weg" (1904) and finishing her dissertation on aforesaid "Der grüne Kakadu".
