The postdictionary as a living experience

The “postdictionary” interaction takes place in the setting of the Ars Electronica Festival 2018. It is the result of a vivid collaboration between artists, practitioners and scientists stimulated by exploration space, an experimental environment fostering open innovation in science. The station offers various interactive and participatory installations for children, teens and adults, both virtual and analogue, under the umbrella of the multidisciplinary project exploreAT!. The actors aim to co-design and take the participants to a joint journey into intimate dimensions of food as European cultural heritage as well as European blended culture, touching all senses by various experiences. The visitor is invited to discover by tasting, smelling, touching, listening and seeing various food dimensions. In a playful process she/he is introduced into co-designing and co-creating interactive visualisations and games, based on individual stories and experiences against the background of new technologies. The station will explore the sensory, scientific, linguistic, and commercial dimensions of food in human life. Jointly we delve to fuse our arts DH practices in the production of knowledge of culture, heritage and meaning.
On sunday Eveline Wandl-Vogt is panelist on the Academy of Error, discussing how we can turn the unexpected experience of failing into a productive process.
