Following the inaugural conference held in Amsterdam in 2015, this year’s Biographical Data in a Digital World 2017 (BD2017) aims to continue the discussion on the multidisciplinary investigation of biographical data.

Spanning the course of two days, this conference brings together international researchers with diverse backgrounds and experiences to facilitate knowledge exchange and the development of novel concepts in this particular area of research.

Hosted by the Austrian Academy of Sciences, this event is organized in conjunction with Deutsches Forschungszentrum für Künstliche Intelligenz (DE), Edith Cowan University (AU), Huygens ING (NL), and VU Amsterdam (NL) and in cooperation with Ars Electronica and the DARIAH-EU Working Group "Analysing and linking biographical data".
