MEET THE AUSTRIAN SCIENTISTS

As a part of the European Science Film Festival sf² the 'Young Academy' of the Austrian Academy of Sciences invites exclusively attendees of the WCSFP to a social “Get Together” with scientists of the Academy.

Founded in 1847 as a learned society, today the Austrian Academy of Sciences has over 770 members dedicated to innovative basic research, interdisciplinary exchange of knowledge and the dissemination of new insights with the aim of contributing to progress in science and society as a whole. Apart from the learned society, the Academy today is the largest research institution apart from the Austrian Universities.

"The World Congress of Science and Factual Producers (WCSFP) is a member-run, not-for-profit organization, dedicated to celebrating the best in science and history programs and other related genres (known in the UK market as specialist factual programming).

The WCSFP’s annual event is a must-attend gathering for producers, broadcasters and distributors working in specialist factual television. This year’s event will take place in Vienna, Austria, from December 1 to 4, 2015."  (from WCSFP's webpage)

We offer you the possibility to exchange ideas or network with some of the most significant Austrian scientists from different departments.

The number of participants for this program is limited. Please register.

MEET THE AUSTRIAN SCIENTISTS

aims to bring Austrian scientists and science film makers and producers (from Austria and all over the world) together to network, elaborate on upcoming projects, find common interests in science communication and fascinating stories to tell. In a relaxed atmosphere right after the World Congress of Science and Factual Producers we offer you a space for all this embedded in the program of the European Science Film Festival.
