Biographical sketch

Thomas Fent conducts research in economic demography. This is an interdisciplinary field of research that combines elements of demography and economics to investigate the relationships between demographic processes and economic outcomes. His research focuses on ageing populations and the labour market; fertility and family economics; human capital, human resources and education; demography and economic dynamics/economic growth.

He uses formal mathematical approaches, computer-based simulation models and empirical statistical methods.
