Das internationale Symposion ist der offizielle Beitrag Österreichs zum 1700-Jahr-Jubiläum der Christianisierung Armeniens. Weiters feiert die Kommission für Byzantinistik ihr 50-jähriges Bestehen.

This international Symposium is the official contribution of Austria to the 17th centenary Jubilee of the Christianization of Armenia. Further, the Research Institute for Byzantine Studies of the Academy celebrates its existence in the past 50 years.
