Research

My personal research interests are related towards limnology, fish-ecology and aquaculture in tropical inland waters. Main aim of IPGL is to stimulate freshwater ecosystem research in developing countries via joint research projects and international networking. Thus, coordination of research activities is another task within my duties as IPGL coordinator. More information about IPGL is available at: www.ipgl.at

Projects

IPGL-International Post-Graduate Training Programmes in Limnology. Funded by the Austrian Development Cooperation via ADA (Austrian Development Cooperation), EZA 612-00. Project manager, Gerold Winkler.

Teaching

Field and laboratory courses, lectures and seminars in Limnology, Fish-Ecology and Flooplain-Ecology within the M.Sc. programme in Limnology & Wetland Ecosystems.
