The Institute for Urban and Regional Research (German abbreviation - ISR) of the Austrian Academy of Sciences (ÖAW) is the only non-university Spatial Sciences research institute in Austria, which is primarily committed to basic scientific research. The main focus is on Interdisciplinary Urban and Regional Development on a national and European scale.
