Born 1956 in Feldbach/Steiermark. M.A.-level studies in History and German Philology at Graz University. Since 1988 Researcher at the Department of
Contemporary History at Graz University. Since 1989 Lecturer at Graz University. Collaborator in the Special Research Program Modernity. Vienna and
Central Europe around 1900, 1994–2000. Since January 2001 Collaborator at the Commission for Culture Studies and History of Theatre
(Austrian Academy of Sciences). Habilitation (Contemporary History) at Graz University 2005.
