Born 1951 in Vienna, studies of Comparative, Geman and English Literature and Jewish Thought at the University of Massachusetts, Boston, Mass., USA, at Bar-Ilan University, Ramat Gan, Israel, and at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel. 1982–1986 lecturer of German as a Foreign Language at Tel Aviv University, 1983–1986 research assistant at the German Department of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, 1989–2010 staff member at the Institute for Jewish History in Austria, St. Pölten; since 1995 lecturer for Contemporary History at the Karl Franzens-University, Graz, since August 2010 researcher at the Institute for Cultural Science and Theater History (IKT) at the Austrian Academy of Sciences in the framework of research projects.
