The Austrian Academy of Sciences is headed by the Presiding Committee composed of four representatives elected from among the full members of the Academy.

Scholars from Austria and abroad are among the full and corresponding members as well as the honorary members of the Austrian Academy of Sciences.

Currently, the Austrian Academy of Sciences employs about 1100 staff members in research and administrative positions.
