The envisaged topics include:

Management: visitor monitoring, participation of local population, implementation of conservation concepts/plans
Sustainable regional development
Specific research into flora and fauna
Geographical mountain research - Alps /other mountain ranges
Landscape ecology - changes in cultural landscapes/practices, soil
Global change - impacts on mountain areas.

Each article should:

contain hard facts (what?), put into a context (spatial, temporal) (how?)
show the relevance of this research (causes, effects) (why?)
point out consequences, strategies, possible actions to take.

The journal also contains a news section where you can contribute:

news from individual protected areas
information on workshops,
professional development opportunities,
short progress reports
