The envisaged topics include:
- Management: visitor monitoring, participation of local population, implementation of conservation concepts/plans
- Sustainable regional development
- Specific research into flora and fauna
- Geographical mountain research - Alps /other mountain ranges
- Landscape ecology - changes in cultural landscapes/practices, soil
- Global change - impacts on mountain areas.
Each article should:
- contain hard facts (what?), put into a context (spatial, temporal) (how?)
- show the relevance of this research (causes, effects) (why?)
- point out consequences, strategies, possible actions to take.
The journal also contains a news section where you can contribute:
- news from individual protected areas
- information on workshops,
- professional development opportunities,
- short progress reports
