French Tort Law Facing Reform
A Presentation by GRERCA's Researchers
The Institute of European Tort Law and the European Centre of Tort and Insurance Law cordially invite the public to a lecture by Philippe BRUN (Professor at the University of Savoy, Director of CDPPOC) and Christophe QUÉZEL-AMBRUNAZ (Maître de conférences at the Université de Grenoble). Both are researchers at the Groupe de Recherche Européen sur la Responsabilité Civile et l'Assurance (European Group for Researches on Tort and Insurance Law, GRERCA) which was set up following the observation that French tort law is only marginally present in the European drafts for reform, such as PETL and the DCFR. Today, several national projects seek to reform national law as national statutes on this matter are two hundred years old, and the case law is prolific and confusing.
