Izhak Englard
Izhak Englard is a Bora Laskin Professor of Law (Emeritus) at the Hebrew University Jerusalem, a retired Justice of the Supreme Court of Israel, and a Member of the Israel Academy of Sciences and Humanities. He has authored several publications, inter alia, in the field of tort law. His topic, Punitive Damages – A Modern Conundrum of Ancient Origin, is one which is both current and controversial. The lecture ist held as part of the Juristenrunde series of the Institute for European Tort Law of the ÖAW.
