Commission of Media and Communication Studies has joined
the Worlds of Journalism project

In June 2008, the Commission of Media and Communication Studies has joined the Worlds of Journalism project. The international project sets out to explore differences and similarities in journalistic cultures across diverse nations, different types of news organizations and various professional milieus. Carried out as a collaborative effort involving researchers from 22 countries, the study breaks new ground in the field of journalism research. Project coordinator is Dr. Thomas Hanitzsch from the University of Zurich. The Austrian part is conducted by Dr. Josef Seethaler and Dr. Christian Oggolder with the collaboration of Dr. Daniela Kraus (Medienhaus Wien).
